Job Description

BluEarth Renewables seeks a Manager, Project Finance and Corporate Development in Calgary, AB. The role involves leading project financings, supporting corporate development initiatives, managing M&A activities, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Candidates should have a relevant degree, 7+ years of experience in finance or corporate development, and strong leadership qualities. Flexibility and travel within Canada and the USA are required.
Key Functions Include
• Lead all aspects of project financings from initial structuring through to post-closing activities for one or more ongoing project or hybrid financings, including construction financing, tax equity, back leveraged, and hybrid/holdco financings (includes financings in both Canada and the USA)
• Work alongside the Vice President, Finance to structure financings for the development asset portfolio
• Play a key role in corporate development initiatives for Canadian development portfolio (including economic analysis, RFP responses, offtake agreement structuring, managing partnerships and pricing, etc.)
• Lead special projects such as M&A activities, asset recycling/sell-downs, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships with a number of key third parties, including lenders, lawyers, independent engineers, and advisors
• Upholds all aspects of BluEarth’s Environmental, Health, & Safety policies, practices, and programs; and
• Uphold the company’s core values.

Education
• University degree, preferably in Management, Business, or Finance, but consideration will be given to those that possess tangible and proven experience and skills; and
• Credentials such as CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA are required.

Experience
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in finance, corporate development, banking, or relevant field.
