Role

The Manager, Finance is a critical member of the strategic and capital transaction team, supporting the team primarily through financial analysis and presentations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a series of financial models to evaluate capital alternatives within the business, working closely with colleagues to ensure a coherent set of inputs. The work will focus on supporting M&A, Investor Relations, Board discussions, capital transactions, and work closely with the internal Financial Planning and Analysis team to ensure that our financial strategy aligns with the current operating plan and results.
Main Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Support the iterative development of the company’s strategic plan, aligning it with overall business objectives and market opportunities. Work closely with the CSO, CFO and business line leaders to align short term and long term financial forecasting.
+ Support the iterative development of the enterprise long term strategic plan (7-year) and scenario planning (trade-offs, risks and opportunities).
+ Model strategic forecasting related to the integration of the generation and the retail sides of the business.
+ Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
+ Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of the company.
Capital Transactions: Support the advancement of CleanChoice’s capital stack.
+ Prepare funding packages for potential credit providers.
+ Maintain transaction data rooms, participate in due diligence processes across the organization, and manage 3rd party consultants and stakeholders for M&A, debt and equity financing processes.
+ Verify project inputs in financial models with internal subject matter experts.
+ Assist with negotiating term sheets by converting prospective terms into modeled analyses, and reviewing the accuracy of final model inputs/outputs in the definitive documentation.
Business Development: Identify and evaluate potential business development opportunities, including financings, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and new market entry.
+ Utilize financial modeling and analysis to evaluate opportunities.
+ Support the team on identifying appropriate deal structure, negotiation strategy and transaction term tolerances as well as partnering with internal and external legal counsel on negotiations and documenting the transaction.
+ Support the preparation of materials to obtain executive and Board approvals for transactions.
Corporate Communications: Support communication to investors, shareholders, and employees ensuring unified, consistent, timely, and accurate materials.
Knowledge and Skillset
• Outstanding financial modeling skills; renewable energy financial modeling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including comfort interacting with internal management and financing counterparties.
• Knowledge of equity and debt structures in the renewable energy space; or conceptual understanding of power markets preferred.
Qualification and Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in a transactional role, preferably in investment banking, working for a renewable energy development company, or in another role performing detailed financial analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative field, Finance, or Accounting.
• A modeling test will be administered during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

• This position offers a base salary range of $120,000 - $140,000, an incentive plan, and a robust benefits package.
