Job Description
Tesla is hiring a Manager of Environmental Affairs in Austin, TX, to develop and implement environmental policies, ensure compliance with regulations, conduct audits, and collaborate with teams to enhance sustainability. Develop and implement environmental policies and strategies that align with Tesla's mission and goals.
Stay up-to-date with current environmental regulations and laws, and ensure compliance across all Tesla operations.
Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental sustainability into all aspects of Tesla's business processes.
Monitor and report on key environmental metrics, such as energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste management.
Identify and implement cost-effective measures to reduce Tesla's environmental impact and improve sustainability performance.
Act as a subject matter expert on environmental issues and provide guidance and training to employees at all levels.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations.
Work with suppliers and partners to ensure they adhere to Tesla's environmental standards.
Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
Represent Tesla at industry events and conferences to showcase our environmental initiatives and achievements.
Continuously research and implement new technologies and practices to further enhance Tesla's environmental performance.
Collaborate with the communications team to develop and communicate Tesla's environmental initiatives and progress to stakeholders.
Participate in the development and management of the environmental budget.
Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in environmental sustainability and incorporate them into Tesla's strategies and practices.
