Delta Utilities is seeking a Manager for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) in New Orleans, LA. The role involves developing and enforcing EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading a team, and conducting safety audits and training. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field, strong knowledge of OSHA standards, and excellent communication skills. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated EHS Manager to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support company goals related to environmental health and safety, emergency response, industrial hygiene, EHS auditing, contractor safety, and training. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the development, application, and enforcement of EHS policies and procedures across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in EHS and provide guidance on EHS-related issues, including regulatory compliance, safety audits, training, and incident investigations.
• Assist in the development and management of company standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to EHS practices and initiatives.
• Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to achieve operational goals and maintain consistent safety practices across the company.
• Conduct incident investigations and identify corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Travel to remote locations to support EHS initiatives, perform safety audits, and conduct training sessions.
• Conduct research on industry standards and emerging technologies to improve EHS processes and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Research and provide technical information regarding regulatory requirements and their applicability to company operations.
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process for EHS-related procedures and forms.
• Provide customer service to internal stakeholders by offering practical, solution-oriented advice and guidance on EHS matters.
• Maintain and update company EHS SOPs and policies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Promote continuous improvement within the EHS department by researching, recommending, and implementing changes based on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the EHS department's goals and objectives.

Required Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a proven safe driving record.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI/ASTM standards, and other relevant industry regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer-focused approach, with a demonstrated ability to provide effective solutions to EHS challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
• Strong technical writing skills to support the development of SOPs, policies, and reports.

Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Utility, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical safety, with progressive responsibility in safety management.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent safety certification is highly desired.
