Liz Fashion Industry Ltd. is seeking a Manager for Compliance and Sustainability in Bangladesh. The role involves ensuring a safe working environment, implementing compliance audits, leading a team, assisting buyers during audits, monitoring documentation, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers. The manager will also develop environmental strategies, ensure compliance with local labor standards, and provide regular reports to senior management.

Job Description / Responsibility
• To ensure a safe & good working environment for satisfactions of employees as well as the customers by implementation of local law by maintaining & ensured the high standard and integrity of performing compliance audit by buyers & 3rd party’s to meet with the buyers terms of engagement, social, technical, environmental, fire safety, building integrity, electrical safety, WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, HIGG, FCCA, C-TPAT buyers COC’s & security compliance implementation in a sustainable manner.<br>• To lead the team with proper job assignment distribution, coordination, cooperation & follow-up to ensure that the all compliance officers, welfare officers are performing their daily jobs as per requirement, also providing the on-job regular training & awareness to subordinates for increase & develop their job skill.<br>• To assist the buyer’s auditor/visitor to success all audits/visit, also preparing CAP & implementation of arising non-compliance issues from auditor/visitors, with keeping strong professional & mailing communication with all customer/buyers to ensured continues satisfaction of buyers/suppliers.<br>• To provide continuous assistance & support to the admin, HR, fire, electrical, civil, production, quality department objectives to continuous improvement to meet the Bangladesh labor law as well as buyer compliance requirements.<br>• Monitoring & ensure RSC, NIRAPON works are smoothly going on & Finished within time line.<br>• To monitor & follow-up to ensure all documentations of fire drill, legal license, internal & sub-suppliers audit, welfare documents, testing report, all kind of drawing/design, all policy, accident, maternity, health & safety, occurrence, chemical training, hazardous & non-hazardous wastage training, newcomer training, health & safety training & others training & documents are updated properly.<br>• To ensure factory are always ready to successfully face with getting expected result for all kind of announce/unannounced audits & visit for avoiding any kind of misunderstanding relationship with buyers/customers.<br>• Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and customers.<br>• Follow-up and monitor factory improvement on any identified non-compliance issues.<br>• Ensure factory compliance in areas of local labor standards, health and work safety, and environmental protection at factorys premises.
• Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the department head and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
• Work closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement different policies & procedures.
• Developing and implementing environmental strategies and action plans that ensure corporate sustainable development.
• Ensure 100% implementation of buyer`s COC, Labor Law 2006 and Labor Rules 2015 & well familiar with the same.
• Implement of Welfare and Health & Safety Measures under Labor Law 2006 and Rules 2015.Ensure child care & medical facilities for workers. Initiate training & development activities to develop skills, competencies and awareness of mid-level management and workers.
• Attending various types of committee meeting to know the problems of different aspect and taking appropriate measure to find out the solution.
• Daily visiting the production floor & follow that all the compliance activities are properly doing well.
• Assist in developing HR policy and procedures in line with company objectives, Buyer COC and ensure their implementation and administration.
• Follow up all the license is up to date & communication with Admin & Commercial department.
• To review all the audit history & CAP report.
• Ensure the factory update to date complying with Bangladesh Labor Law and other regulations.
• Any Other task assign by the management.

Educational Requirements
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• PGDHRM/PGD Compliance/PGD Social Compliance will be given preference
• Skills Required: MICROSOFT OFFICE, Time Management skills, Good presentation skills

Experience Requirements
• At least 12 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Additional Requirements
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Garments
• Should have sound practical working knowledge and experience about all types of Compliance issues and BSCI, OEKO-Tex, SEDEX, WRAP, C-TPAT, GRS, GOTS, OCS compliance issues regarding buyers from Europe and USA, Canada Like Decathlon, Walmart etc.
• Sound knowledge on Bangladesh Labor Act-2006 and Amendment act -2013 is must, Labor law 2015Should have sound knowledge in RSC, NIRAPON.
• The ideal candidate should have excellent leadership quality
• Adaptable, pro-active, innovative and must be able to work under pressure independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Should have excellent people management skills.
