Job Description

Connecticut Green Bank is hiring a Manager for its Outreach team to engage underserved communities on energy and sustainability needs. About the position

The Connecticut Green Bank is seeking a Manager for its Outreach team to engage with communities, particularly vulnerable and underserved populations, to address their energy, sustainability, and resiliency needs. The role involves executing the Green Bank's outreach vision through active community engagement, building partnerships, and promoting Green Bank products and programs. The Manager will play a crucial role in fostering trust and collaboration within the community, ultimately supporting the Green Bank's mission to enhance the green economy in Connecticut.

Responsibilities
• Build relationships and partnerships with community-based groups and organizations, including government and nonprofit groups.

• Develop leads for Green Bank products through direct engagement and partnerships.
,
• Represent the Green Bank at events and speaking engagements.
,
• Collect, analyze, and provide stakeholder feedback to program development teams.
,
• Support the development and execution of community-based outreach campaigns.
,
• Coordinate with Sustainable CT to drive adoption of Green Bank products.
,
• Provide market intelligence and develop qualified leads in coordination with program teams.

Requirements
• 4-8 years of relevant work experience, particularly with community groups.

• Experience in community planning, organizing, or outreach and engagement.
,
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

• General knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency policies.
,
• Ability to understand energy and sustainability-related technologies and financial products.
,
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management applications like Salesforce.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience working with energy or environmental financing programs.

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, social work, or a related field.
