Job Description
Avua is hiring a Maintenance Engineer (Renewable Energy) in Canada. The role involves inspecting and maintaining renewable energy systems, including turbines and solar panels, to ensure safety and performance. Responsibilities include developing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting issues, and analyzing performance data. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and experience in renewable energy systems. This is a full-time position, posted 6 days ago.
Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of renewable energy systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. Perform detailed assessments of equipment and components, including turbines, solar panels, inverters, and associated infrastructure. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of renewable energy assets. Carry out scheduled maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues affecting the performance of renewable energy systems. Execute prompt and effective repairs to restore functionality and minimize system downtime. Analyze performance data and trends to proactively identify potential equipment failures or degradation. Utilize monitoring systems and tools to optimize system efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and equipment condition. Generate reports detailing maintenance findings, recommendations, and completed tasks. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in the maintenance of renewable energy systems, with a focus on wind, solar, hydro, or geothermal technologies. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components associated with renewable energy systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex systems. Familiarity with data analysis tools and monitoring systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
