MSP-CX QA, Mechantronics and Sustainable Packaging

In the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience organization, we have the unique role and privilege to work backwards from our customer needs and represent their voice through the entire products’ lifecycle (from product development, to deployment, to support & service), embodying Amazon’s leadership principle:
Customer Obsession. We raise the bar on the readiness of new technologies in deployment and on the performance of those already in production; our mission is to transform “stand-alone work-cells” into “end-to-end integrated solutions” that are safe, easy-to-operate, easy-to-maintain, easy-to-deploy, and easy-to-service. Are you enthusiastic about the latest advancements in Mechatronics Sustainable Packaging (MSP) automation technology? Would you like to play a vital role in Amazon's dynamic growth?

If you have a passion for making an impact on the future today, consider joining Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience Organization. In the position of Operations Engineer Deployment & Ramp-up, you will be tasked with overseeing multiple products, programs, projects and involved in deploying MSP solutions. This encompasses deployments at both newly constructed sites and operational fulfillment centers.

As an Operations Engineer, your primary role is to own the coordination and execution of installation, commissioning, and performance ramp-up of the product in the field allowing the engineering and product team to focus on the system performance improvement and optimization. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement ideas into both the deployment cycle time (safety, quality and productivity), and detailing engineering design improvements to the hardware engineering and product teams, to simplify the installation.

This role will require the ability to build relationships and capture and synthesize the voice of the customer. Typically owning either a full program or a program region, the Operations Engineer sets standards and maintains quality within their scope of responsibility. The role requires comfort in handling highly technical work scopes related to automation installation, as well as addressing typical project management escalations that may arise during installations at construction sites or live operation warehouses.

The ideal candidate is proactive and takes independent initiative to improve MSP technology. Come help us make history! Project durations vary from a few days to several months, with travel across the US and, if the candidate is open to it, some international work. This is a travel-based role and you will be expected to travel to meet the requirements of your projects across North America, upwards of 75% or more.
