Job Description
Sunstone Credit is hiring a Manager of Business Development and Account Management, which can be done remotely or from New York City. The role focuses on growing commercial activities with solar developers, managing partnerships, and assisting in loan origination. Key responsibilities include onboarding installers, collaborating on projects, and developing outreach strategies. The position offers significant autonomy and requires travel 6-12 weeks per year.
Manager, Business Development and Account Management | Sunstone Credit | New York, NY, or remote

Salary: $120k (Base and bonus)

Position Description: Sunstone is seeking a Manager of Business Development to join our team. As a leader on the business development team, you’ll report directly to the Senior Director of Business Development and help grow Sunstone’s commercial activities by partnering with solar developers to grow their commercial solar sales and use of Sunstone products, contributing to Sunstone’s market strategy, and managing important projects and functions. Expect significant autonomy in a quickly evolving role and industry and help us build a company that is agile, partner-focused and value driven.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a growing portfolio of partner solar installers to originate loans through Sunstone’s platform. This includes
• Onboarding installers to Sunstone’s platform and training the installer’s team on the use of Sunstone’s products
• Collaborating with installer’s teams to assist in loan origination
• Working with installers to increase the amount of projects they originate that use financing
• Assisting installers with obtaining financing on individual projects
• Travel to meet with key partners in person
• Maintain a thorough understanding of customers’ business including needs and sales cycles, and create strong relationships to effectively drive sales and repeat business
• Provide strategic perspective and insight on revenue generating activities while acting as the voice of the customer and helping Sunstone continue to refine its products and technology
• Develop outreach strategy and collaborate on product development
