Job Description
Alakaina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Kalawao, HI. Responsibilities include maintaining warehouse procedures, managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring vehicle maintenance. Candidates should have a high school diploma, three years of logistics experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and DoD operations. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance are required. This position is not remote.<br>The Alaka’ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support a customer in O'ahu, Hawai'i.<br><br>DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:<br><br>Essential duties & job functions would include but are not limited to:<br>• Develop and maintain procedures for the warehouse, using basic logistics principles.<br>• Maintain database of items on hand.<br>• Maintain List of Materials (LOM) with upper and lower stock limits<br>• Verify joint inventories and audit DD Form 250.<br>• Provide for inbound and outbound shipments<br>• Submit custom clearance documentation on all shipments.<br>• Coordinate cargo shipments between CONUS and USAG-HI<br>• Ensure weekly, monthly, and semi-annual inventory on all Property Book items.<br>• Provide oversight to ensure accurate inventory<br>• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance is being performed on all NEC vehicles<br>• Audit vehicle logs and report corrective actions require<br>• Maintain a software and hardware database containing make, model number or version number, serial number, purchase date, contract and contract number, purchase price, renewal date, license data, warranty data, and period of performance for all NEC assets<br>• Conduct lateral movement of materials and equipment where necessary<br>• Procure, deliver, and account for all the necessary project equipment and materials<br>• Maintain a safe work environment.<br>• Mindful to meet deadlines.<br>• Other duties as assigned.<br><br>REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:<br>• High School diploma or GED equivalent<br>• Ability to obtain local vehicle certifications or licenses and safely operate warehouse vehicles (forklifts, scissor lift, etc.)<br>• OSHA 30 certification<br><br>REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:<br>• Three (3) years of experience performing various warehousing or property management duties to include, shipping, receiving, inventory, and material management.<br>• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint, GCSS-ARMY, and ServiceNow<br>• Must be extremely familiar with DoD operations.<br>• May be required to work overtime.<br>• Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position<br><br>DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:<br>• U.S. Military experience preferred.<br>• Forklift.<br><br>REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:<br>• Must be a U.S. Citizen<br>• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.<br><br>The Alakaina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service provider.
