Job Description
The Living Lab Sustainability Project Manager at CNM Central New Mexico Community College will lead sustainability initiatives, managing projects related to renewable energy, water conservation, and policy development. This role involves collaborating with faculty and external partners, promoting sustainability accomplishments, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. A Bachelor's degree and five years of experience are required, with a preference for candidates in environmental or sustainability fields.

Position Summary
Are you ready to lead the charge in making CNM a beacon of sustainability? As the Living Lab Sustainability Project Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to drive impactful, real-world projects that help CNM achieve its sustainability goals. Working closely with the Director of Service Operations, you'll research, design, and roll out innovative initiatives such as renewable energy projects, water conservation efforts, energy and water monitoring programs, and the creation of sustainability policies and standards. You'll also team up with faculty to integrate sustainability into curriculum and collaborate with external partners on projects that align with local and state sustainability efforts. With your passion and leadership, you'll help elevate CNM's sustainability initiatives, sharing progress with the campus community and beyond through engaging communication channels. Duties & Responsibilities
• Researches, develops, and implements sustainability projects.
• Manages small and large sustainability-related projects in the CNM Facilities Department as assigned.
• Develops and documents sustainability-related guidelines, standards and policies for the college.
• Monitors and analyzes water and energy data for relevant reports and presentations.
• Assists the Physical Plant Department in developing green building criteria for new and renovated construction projects.
• Promotes broader awareness of CNM's sustainability-related accomplishments to local, regional, and national audiences by presenting at relevant conferences, attending relevant events, and report to third party sustainability organizations as a CNM sustainability representative.
• Represents the Executive Director of the Physical Plant on boards and committees relevant to sustainability and Campus Living Lab (CLL) initiatives.
• Works as liaison to support faculty who request to utilize campus facilities for sustainability-related curriculum (CLL) and document these projects for sustainability accreditation purposes.
• Gathers information from CNM staff and faculty as required for sustainability accreditation and reporting.
• Collaborates with external partners on sustainability-related projects that benefit the wider community and are in line with state and local sustainability initiatives, policies, plans, and goals.
• Shares updates and information about sustainability initiatives with the CNM community through the Marketing and Communications Office (MCO) and presenting at relevant meetings across the college.
• Advises CNM sustainability-related Student Organizations and Clubs when appropriate.
• Ensures compliance with federal and college requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related experience.
Preferences:
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural Sciences, Water Resource Management, Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience in Environmental or Sustainability Project Management
• Previous experience performing educational outreach in a Higher Education institution
• Previous experience with Energy Management
• Previous experience with cloud-based project management software
