We are looking for a talented Limnology and Climate Change Investigator to join our team at the Desert Research Institute. As a co-lead investigator of the ICYCLE team, you will investigate methane lakes on the North Slope of Alaska and analyze their potential as proxies for Titan, a moon of Saturn.

Your responsibilities will include determining the 13C isotopic signature of methane, characterizing microbial populations within ice, and analyzing organic and inorganic compounds in lake water and ice. You will also supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers and participate in field trips, data collation, and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Limnology or related field.
• Experience with icy ecosystems research, sampling lakes and ice covers, collecting samples for biogeochemistry, and operating field physical/chemical/biological sensors.
