Job Description

Phillip Riley is seeking a Legal Counsel (Project/Construction & Commercial) for their Brisbane office, focusing on renewable energy. Responsibilities include managing legal matters related to projects, drafting and reviewing agreements, and ensuring compliance. Candidates should have at least 4 years of PQE, with strong interpersonal skills and a client-centric approach. A competitive remuneration package is offered for this full-time position.
We are currently working with a leading Solar Energy Developer who are backed by a global Investment platform who are looking to add a Legal executive into the Brisbane office.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide thought leadership and develop awareness of legal issues and their business implications across various areas of the organization.
• Partner with internal and external parties to handle Project/Construction matters, including drafting and reviewing Option Agreements, Terms & Conditions with contractors, and addressing heritage, compliance, privacy, and other relevant matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret legal documents while ensuring the best commercial outcomes and mitigating risk for the business.
• Implement and oversee local and global legal directives and instructions.
• Support integrity and compliance activities, including maintaining the Code of Conduct and updating local integrity policies as required.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years PQE (Post-Qualification Experience) ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house legal roles.
• Proven ability to be client-centric, commercially minded, and adaptable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to hit the ground running and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
