The UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability is seeking part-time lecturers for the 2024-2025 academic year in environmental science, sustainability, and related fields. Responsibilities include lecturing, office hours, exam grading, and supervising teaching assistants. Candidates must have an advanced degree and college-level teaching experience. The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions in areas of environmental science / studies and sustainability for the 2024-2025 academic year. These areas include : environmental science, sustainability, environmental economics, and related topics.

Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams, and supervising graduate readers and / or teaching assistants.

An advanced graduate degree in environmental science / studies, sustainability, or a closely related field, college-level teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability is building a qualified pool of potential instructors for specific teaching needs. Positions will be filled when needed so applicants are encouraged to submit materials early.

This position is represented by the University Council - American Federation of Teachers : [ https : / / ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu / labor / bargaining-units / ix / contract.html ]. Internal applicants will be considered for reappointment prior to the consideration of external applicants.
