The Loyola University Retreat & Ecology Campus (LUREC) has a 20-acre wetland restoration project, a 5-acre organic farm, 3-week summer courses, and is a venue for faculty and student research in sustainable agriculture, ecology, and wetland/woodland restoration. For more information about IES, please visit http://www.luc.edu/sustainability/
Qualifications: Candidates for the position must clearly demonstrate their potential for excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching introductory environmental science for both IES majors and non-majors, and teach intermediate-level courses focusing on botany, environmental chemistry and/or soil ecology. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to develop courses in their specialty that enhance the IES curriculum. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in an area of ecology or environmental science prior to August 2019. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate courses as the instructor of record will be given strongest consideration.
