Senior Climate Change Adaptation Project Leader

This is a senior leadership role in the Climate Sector team, responsible for leading climate change adaptation projects. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and relationships across clients, partner organisations and industry groups, with experience working with governments, international finance institutions, development banks and/or the private sector.
About the Role
• Take a proactive role in business development, identifying opportunities, pitching to clients, proposal writing and managing the delivery of winning bids.
• Lead major international projects, providing technical leadership and expertise.
• Engage externally with international initiatives, promoting thought leadership and supporting external campaigns.
• Mentor junior team members, technically assuring their work and contributing to their professional development.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge, relationships and networks across clients, partner organisations and industry groups.
• Experience working with governments, international finance institutions, development banks and/or the private sector.
• Experience in delivering climate change adaptation, with a detailed knowledge and understanding of climate change adaptation frameworks and standards.
• Detailed understanding of climate science and climate models.
• Excellent analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and fluency in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive experience in South Asia, Southeast Asia and/or Africa.
• Experience designing and/or delivering resilient infrastructure projects.
• Fluency in another language (Spanish, Indonesian, Arabic, French and/or Portuguese are preferred).
