Lead Technical Director - Hydropower- South East Asia

Plan Recruit Ltd is seeking a Lead Technical Director for a hydropower project in South East Asia, based in England, UK. The role involves managing the technical design review and leading a design office for pumped storage projects. Candidates should have a Master's in Engineering and 15-20 years of experience in large hydropower projects. The position offers a salary over 16,000 USD/month plus benefits on a 2 or 5-year contract.
A position with a large development company to manage the technical design review for a large pumped storage hydroelectric project in South East Asia. You will be responsible for setting up, and leading a design office in the capital city, managing a team of technical experts managing 2 pumped storage projects who are using the same EPC contractor and Owners Engineer.

Reporting to the Project Director for Pumped Storage and the Chief of Projects for Hydro & Dams.

What you will bring:
• Masters or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experienced in leading large hydropower projects
• At least 15 - 20 years experience, as either Project Manager, Technical, Engineering or Design Manager of large projects over 1B USD
• Extensive experience of management and reporting of project cost risk and progress.
• Experience in working with Chinese EPC Contractors and Design Institutes
