Lead Project Manager

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Project Manager in Chennai, India, with at least 5 years of experience in project management for Greenfield or Brownfield projects, particularly in the metals, mining, and marine industries. Responsibilities include project execution, customer management, coordination with various teams, and overseeing service contracts. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and project management experience with AC/DC drives and related systems are required.
Job Description Summary
Role Summary/Purpose

1. Project Management, Services experience to have flawless execution of the complete Green field or Brown Field Projects in India, Essential to have knowledge on AC/DC Drives, Motors, Generators, Switchboard for Metals, Mining, Marine Industry based projects experience for a minimum of 5 years.
2. Customer Project Management for all Industry – Project Execution as per GE - ONE OTR process from R2 call onwards of ITO stage till the hand over / PG Completion. Intra PC / GE2GE Projects / MV Drive Projects
3. Drive, Own, Responsibility – Service & Spares Contract Execution from ITO to Services Handover.
4. Coordinate with Planning, ITO, Commercial Ops, Finance, Engineering, Sourcing, Suppliers.
5. Customer past due / Payment follow-up and collection / Willing to Travel.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities
• On the receipt of the Customer Purchase order to be a part of R2 call. Co-ordinate with Engineering & sourcing to get the cost from sourcing/vendors.
• Work closely for Customer Approval. Inspection of materials & GRN approval.
• Billing Instruction creation for finance. Project Execution in line with ONE OTR process and coordination with all the stake holders.
• Engineering, PE, Software, Suppliers, Erection Contractor & End Customer till the completion and handover to services.
• Co-ordination with Customer, MDCC, Logistics for Packing, Road permit, dispatch related arrangements.
• Materials has to be guided to reach the particular destination with co-ordination with courier rep.
• Documents to be submitted to Stores & Monitor it reaches Finance after GRN & IV. Follow-up from Finance it is passed from Finance dept. Then follow-up for the payment section. If there are any deductions then it needs to be checked with finance. Formalities of Retention to done at customer site. PAC to be followed up with co-ordination with Project dept. FAC to be followed up with Projects. In case of complex EPC / Drive/ Mill upgradation project, past due collection & co-ordination with Engg. & freeze the BOM. Materials receipt at site follow-up. Follow-up for the documents receipt for the revenue recognition. Risk Management, Issue Management – as per One OTR process. Project Payment, TCS, etc. Site Erection, Site Management for Installation, Commissioning till the hand-over of Project to Customer and get the Final Acceptance Certificate & Payment. Supply the Project scope and Improve the Vol CM and closure of Service Projects inform Finance for the closure.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Educational Qualification: - Bachelor of Engineering in Electricals with minimum of 10-12 in years
• Project management /PMP/ Site Lead Management of AC/DC Drives, Motors, Generators, Switchboard, Automation system and etc customized Systems related project execution experience is essential.
• Technical knowledge of Engineering, Testing, Commissioning on AC/DC Drives systems, Motors, generators, switchboard, automation system is essential to handle customer cx & project scope deliverable.
