Roles and Responsibilities
• Focus on New Product Introduction around related system and manufacturing processes. Will directly be involved in Tollgate processes related to new product/process launch.
• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members
• Able to lead an RCCA activity as required.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering).
• Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing/Process Engineering experience
Desired Characteristics
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Special Processes, such as welding and brazing.
• Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background.
• Understanding of Unison product development policies and procedures.
• Understanding of various Unison product families.
• Understanding of the overall NTI/NPI development process and relationship to the Unison tollgate process.
• Understanding of Unison bid and proposal opportunities process and general business processes.
The base pay range for this position is 83,800.00 - 105,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 7, 2024.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
