Job Description

CLEAResult is hiring a Lead Energy Technician in North York, PA, to install energy efficiency measures for utility programs. Responsibilities include installing insulation, performing minor repairs, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines. The role requires physical work in various weather conditions and involves driving a company vehicle. Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Lead Energy Technician. You will be acting as a lead and installing energy efficiency measures to reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory in a company-provided vehicle. There is no overnight travel.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can… 
• Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters
• Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors
• Assist with loading and unloading work trucks
• Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines
• Troubleshoot technical problems and issues in accordance with utility specifications
• Ensure all required paperwork and status updates are completed daily
• Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe
• Assist with customer site job set up and tear down
• Perform testing of combustion appliances to ensure proper function.

Physical Requirements
• Able to work under different weather conditions including extreme hot and cold weather
• Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time 
• Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often working in crawl spaces and under mobile homes for part of the workday
• Use repetitive hand motion & use of basic hand and power tools
• Use of a ladder at various heights (up to 3 stories)
• Lift, carry or push up to 50 pounds as needed

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of prior experience in the residential construction industry is required
• Minor plumbing and/or electrical experience is required
• BPI Certification preferred (Candidate must be able to obtain a BPI Certification, paid for by the Company, within 90 days of hire. Training will be provided)  

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
