EQ Search is seeking a Lead Consultant for Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies in London. Join a global leader in the Built Environment and Infrastructure sector and play a pivotal role in shaping Climate Adaptation and Mitigation strategies. This position offers a unique chance to leverage cutting-edge Climate science data and modelling tools to develop effective solutions for both Private and Public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the creation of advanced modelling solutions to evaluate climate change impacts on buildings and infrastructure.
• Identify and assess climate-related risks for clients, focusing on asset and portfolio levels, including threats from flooding and extreme temperature events.
• Develop investment-grade proposals that encompass physical, digital, or organizational solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Generate high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex climate analyses to a diverse range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in climate science through collaboration with experts, academic research, and publications.
• Contribute to the enhancement of analytical tools and services to strengthen organizational climate risk assessment capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications Required
• Postgraduate degree in Climate Science, Environmental Science, or a closely related field is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in an environment-related applied science is essential.
• Significant professional experience in climate modelling, ideally at asset and macro levels.
• Extensive experience in commercial or consulting environments with a focus on delivering technical projects.
• Knowledge of Real Estate or Infrastructure is desirable.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience in working with academic research and applying findings to practical settings in buildings or infrastructure.
• Professional certifications in relevant technical tools or methodologies are an advantage.
