Time Personnel is seeking a Lead Bicycle Tech & Service Operations (E-Bikes) in Cape Town. The role involves providing technical support, managing workshop operations, and leading a team to enhance efficiency and innovation in bicycle services. Candidates should have advanced technical knowledge of bicycles and E-Bikes, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities. The position is full-time and requires hands-on technical leadership.

Our client in Cape Town has introduced some of the world’s most respected cycling names, and they require an experienced Technical Service Manager for all technical operations, from customer and dealer support to workshop, parts, warranty and product development.
Requirements:
• Matric, or relevant qualification
• Advanced technical knowledge about bicycles, suspension, E-Bikes and diagnostics
• Strong leadership and training capability
• High-level problem solving and decision making
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Commercial awareness (cost, warranty exposure, stock efficiency)
• Process-driven with continuous improvement mindset
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Customer & Dealer Technical Support
• Provide diagnostics and support via phone, email and remote E-Bike systems
• Build dealer and customer relationships
• Deliver technical training and communicate product issues
• Technical Leadership & Product Support
• Maintain expert product knowledge and anticipate risks and ensure parts/tools readiness
• Liaise with vendors and stay current with industry trends
• Develop SOPs and technical documentation
• Parts & Inventory Management
• Manage parts forecasting, orders, and stock reporting
• Optimise inventory and ensure accurate data and tracking
• Monitor demand, warranty trends, and supplier updates
• Warranty & Returns
• Assess and manage warranty claims and supplier recoveries
• Resolve disputes and oversee returns processes
• Ensure compliance, cost control and accurate communication
• Workshop Management
• Oversee scheduling, workflow and service delivery
• Provide technical training and uphold quality standards
• Perform advanced repairs and manage consumables
• Operations Support
• Resolve stock and operational issues
• Support warehouse coordination and complex movements
• Product Development
• Support product roadmap and development lifecycle
• Maintain production schedules and improve product offering
