Company Overview: We are a small, woman-owned landscaping company specializing in California native and edible plants, ecosystem design, and wildlife-friendly landscapes. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and professional Landscape Construction Foreman to lead and manage a small team of up to three laborers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and training skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in a range of landscaping projects, including carpentry, pavers, drainage systems, retaining walls, irrigation installation, planting, and plant care. This role will start part-time with a quick pathway to full-time employment and benefits by summer.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead a crew of up to three laborers on various landscape construction projects.
• Execute projects including carpentry, paver installation, drainage systems, retaining walls, irrigation systems, planting, and plant care.
• Provide on-site training, mentorship, and support to laborers.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
• Take direction well and work closely with the owner and project managers.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
• Proficient in carpentry, pavers, drainage, retaining walls, irrigation, and plant care.
• Strong leadership, personnel management, and training skills.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English (Spanish fluency is highly desirable).
• Knowledge and passion for California native plants and ecosystem design.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Local to Berkeley or within 20 minutes.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with edible plants and wildlife-friendly landscape design.
• Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable landscaping practices.
