Landbridge Ecological is seeking a Landscape Bidding/Estimator in St Paul, MN, to support its expansion in ecological restoration and sustainable land management. The role involves preparing competitive bids, developing client relationships, and pursuing new opportunities in commercial and solar farm projects. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and proficiency in estimating software. The position offers a salary range of $60,000-$75,000 and various benefits.
Landbridge Ecological is a leader in ecological restoration, habitat conservation, and sustainable land management in the Midwest. With a strong foundation in native habitat restoration, prairie restoration seeding and invasive species management, we are expanding into solar farm seeding, traditional & native landscaping on a commercial scale, and erosion control markets. As a recently joined member of the LIUNA Local 563 Landscape Union, we are positioned to grow our impact while maintaining our commitment to high-quality ecological services. We are seeking a Landscape Bidding/Estimator to help drive our expansion, focusing on estimating and securing work in our core ecological restoration services while developing new opportunities in commercial sector, solar farm seeding and erosion control markets. This role is critical in growing our business, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and establishing lasting client relationships. Starting salary may vary based upon experience, ranging from $60,000-$75,000 per year. Employees are eligible for benefits such as holiday pay, vacation time, retirement match, HRA, and annual gear stipend. General Expectations Lead and organize all installation bidding and estimating activities, ensuring alignment with Landbridge s mission and values. Identify and pursue new bid opportunities, particularly in ecological restoration, erosion control, and pollinator-friendly solar farm projects. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and other costs. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, GC s, subcontractors, and industry partners. Respond to RFQs, RFPs, and bid requests, ensuring timely and complete submissions. Evaluate and analyze project drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements. Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project scope and requirements. Track and analyze market trends to refine bidding strategies and maintain competitiveness. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless project transitions from estimation to execution. Actively contribute to business development, securing new clients and expanding Landbridge s presence in the Midwest ecological services market. Job Specific Requirements Prefer 3 years of experience in erosion control, seeding, landscape, ecological restoration, or construction estimating (preference for experience in natural resources or land restoration). Strong understanding of cost estimation principles, bid preparation, and construction documentation. Proficiency in estimating software (Stack,Procore, or equivalent), AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Acrobat, and other estimating software. Knowledge of erosion control, traditional & native landscaping, wetland restoration, and habitat conservation is a plus. Ability to interpret technical plans, contract documents, and local market conditions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to develop client relationships.
