Job Description

WM is hiring a Landfill Laborer for a union position at their Carp landfill in Canada. The role involves performing general manual labor tasks such as lifting, loading, and digging under supervision. The job requires no formal education but some light equipment experience is preferred. The hourly wage is $30.29, with full-time shifts scheduled Monday to Friday. Benefits include medical, dental, and paid time off.
This is a union position located at our Carp landfill.

Starting Wage: 30.29/hr.

Start time: 8Hr Shifts between 6:30am to 7:30pm

Shift: Mondays - Fridays

I. Job Summary

Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
• Performs general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to,
• lifting and moving materials,
• loading and unloading vehicles,
• digging and refilling holes,
• and other activities in a helping or assisting mode.
• Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned.

This job has no supervisory duties.

IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience

Education: None required.

Experience: Some light equipment experience would be preferred but is not required.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada with a valid Canadian SIN (social insurance number).

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

None required.

The expected base pay range for this position across the Canada is $30.29 hourly. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
