Your Role:

As a General Laborer / Spotter you will be responsible for directing vehicles, ensuring safe operations, and performing various labor tasks at our waste management facility.
• Direct vehicles to appropriate dumping locations within the landfill or transfer station
• Communicate with drivers and equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Perform visual inspections of waste loads to prevent disposal of unauthorized materials
• Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including litter control and general groundskeeping
• Operate basic equipment and tools as needed to support facility operations
• Maintain detailed records of waste loads, inspections, and any incidents
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and visitors
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or operational concerns to the supervisor

What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in waste management or a similar role is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)
