• Clinical Microbiologist Role Summary*

Main Responsibilities:
• Perform waived and non-waived tests with supervision
• Assist with department compliance with laboratory accrediting agencies and regulatory requirements
• Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory

Requirements:
• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
• Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science (transcripts will be reviewed)
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting CLIA regulations
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy (if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications:
• MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB)
• Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology
• Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing
