Lab Technician for Sustainable Practices

The Agroecology Lab Coordinator at beBee Careers in Raleigh, NC, will assist in establishing the Agroecology Lab and enhance agroecological research and education. • About the Role*

The Agroecology Lab Coordinator will play a key role in the establishment and growth of the Agroecology Lab, undergraduate Agroecology Major, and Agroecology Education Farm. The coordinator will assist in various tasks aimed at enhancing the program's functionality and efficacy while contributing to ongoing agroecological research and education projects.
Key Tasks
• Develop relationships with farmers and private/public sector actors to support collaborative research and community-based outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with the Agroecology Education Farm manager and Sustainable Agriculture Systems Unit technician to ensure smooth project execution and coordination.
• Review and summarize relevant scientific literature, draft reports, and educational materials to enhance the agroecology curriculum.

The coordinator will also engage in outreach to organic, agroecological, sustainable, and regenerative farms in the region to develop job opportunities for agroecology students or recent graduates.
Requirements
• A combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a diverse audience.

This is a temporary technical/paraprofessional position with a salary range of $16-$20/hour.
