Lab Technician I

Nutrien is seeking a Lab Technician I for an on-site position in Ridgeland, MS. The role involves preparing samples, operating scientific equipment, documenting results, and maintaining laboratory cleanliness. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 1-3 years of experience in an environmental laboratory. The Wet Chemistry Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting the Wet Chemistry laboratory by following methodologies and preparing samples.

What you will do:
• Prepare samples for a wide variety of testing procedures, following outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
• Document activities and report results accurately and concisely.
• Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
• Other duries as assigned.

What you will bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred.
