Think Environmental is seeking a full-time LDAR Technician in Plaquemine, LA, responsible for performing EPA Method 21 inspections to detect emissions in chemical plants and refineries. Key tasks include leak detection, initial repairs, and collaboration with plant operations. Job Overview
The primary responsibility of Think Environmental LDAR technician is to preform EPA Method 21 inspections to detect fugitive emissions in chemical plants, gas processing plants and refineries per local, state and federal regulations. Our technicians are trained in LDAR regulatory policies, EPA Method 21 monitoring procedures, component identification and record keeping
Key Responsibilities
• Perform EPA Method 21 leak detection
• Make first attempts to repair leaking components
• Work with plant operations and maintenance to ensure successful leak repairs
• Perform other daily routine tasks as required
Basic Qualifications
• Industrial/plant experience preferred
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to read and speak English
• Ability to perform work in adverse weather conditions (heat/cold, inclement weather)
• Ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work at heights of 100 feet
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a per-employment background check, drug screen and physical
• Ability to obtain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) as required
