• *About the Role:
The Electric Mobility team within the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program assists Indian cities in their transition towards a low-carbon future. We achieve this through applied research, practical tools, hands-on advice, and collaboration with a network of Indian and international experts.
This position requires a motivated Program Associate to contribute to diverse projects within sustainable transportation. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in quantitative and qualitative research, mapping, and spatial analysis. Prior experience in areas like sustainable mobility, electric mobility, urban and transport policies, and planning frameworks is highly valued.
• *Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Manager in conducting research on electric mobility.
• Collaborate with team members and partners within and outside WRI on all aspects of project research, documentation, and administration.
• Manage technical aspects of project delivery, including government interfacing, partner management, people engagement, project documentation, and event management.
• Organize, review, and summarize relevant literature and data from multiple sources, under the guidance of the Project lead and team.
• Synthesize recommendations into clear and compelling presentations and written reports.
• Conduct data exploration, quantitative research, and provide analytical solutions and insights to meet project outputs.
• Support the development of project-related presentations, commentaries, blogs, op-eds, reports, policy briefs, grant proposals, working papers, and articles to disseminate findings and analysis to stakeholders.
• Contribute to and engage with WRI’s research community in India and globally.
• Design and create innovative problem-solving approaches to address research goals and program objectives.
• Contribute to written outputs, including peer-reviewed articles, WRI working papers, and blog posts.
• *Qualifications and Requirements:**
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (sustainability, electric mobility, urban planning) with a strong understanding of the electric mobility ecosystem in India.
• 2-4 years of full-time experience in relevant sectors. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in sustainable mobility.
• Proficiency in analytical tools, computer software (GIS), relevant literature, and current developments in electric mobility, energy, and transport.
• Demonstrated innovativeness, independence, confidence, passion, analytical mindset, structured thinking, research orientation, teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; fluency in Hindi in addition to English is preferred, knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across different cities in Bihar as needed.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a writing test.

• 1 year (extendable based on performance and project requirements)
