HR Pals & Recruiting Pals is hiring an Experienced Investment Banking Analyst for their Chicago office. The role involves developing financial models, conducting research, and preparing client deliverables for M&A and financing transactions. Candidates should have 2+ years of investment banking experience and a relevant degree. The position offers direct client exposure and opportunities to work on high-impact transactions. Salary is between $100K–$110K annually.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join their Chicago office. This is a near-term hiring need, and the ideal candidate will be available to join the team promptly. The Analyst will play an integral role across all stages of M&A, special situations, and financing transactions, working closely with senior bankers, clients, and counterparties. This position offers meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact domestic and international transactions.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop detailed financial models including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO analyses
• Conduct thorough industry and company research to support transaction execution and business development
• Prepare client deliverables such as confidential information presentations (CIPs), management presentations, and pitch materials
• Support deal execution, including due diligence, process management, and data room activities
• Interact with clients, investors, and other stakeholders throughout the deal process

Qualifications
• 2+ years of full-time experience in investment banking (internship time not included)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• A positive attitude and desire to learn how to do deals and grow professionally
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of professionalism, initiative, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to begin in the near term is preferred
