Investment Banking Analyst/Associate - Life Sciences

Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst/Associate in Alameda, CA, specializing in life sciences. Our client, a boutique investment bank in the Bay Area, is looking to bring on an experienced investment banking analyst or associate to their team. They specialize in the life sciences place and while they are a smaller team, have a great track record of closing several deals every year. This is a great opportunity for someone to have hands-on experience that spans the entire deal process and get closed deals under their belt.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support transaction execution
• Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials
• Perform industry and company research to identify potential opportunities
• Assist in the due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategic recommendations for clients
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and industry developments

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in investment banking or corporate development
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
