Job Description

LSP Renewables is seeking an Investment Associate in London to support M&A activities. Responsibilities include financial analysis, due diligence, market research, and preparing reports. Candidates should have 2-4 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and a degree in Finance or related fields. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills, with a focus on investment management and sustainability.
Our client, a specialist alternative asset management firm, are looking for an Investment Associate to join them, supporting all areas of their M&A activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Group M&A team by undertaking a diverse range of analytical and operational tasks, including:
• Conducting financial statement analysis and maintaining financial models to support decision-making.
• Leading due diligence efforts, assessing acquisition materials, and compiling internal diligence reports alongside the Investment Director.
• Identifying and escalating key due diligence findings to differentiate material and non-material risks.
• Assisting in the preparation of in-depth Investment Committee reports, including business performance evaluations and industry trend analysis.
• Performing comprehensive market research and financial data analysis to inform strategic recommendations.
• Drafting internal approval documents and terms of reference to facilitate deal execution.
• Preparing correspondence, presentations, and tracking internal communications to ensure smooth workflow.
• Supporting team coordination and resource planning to enhance efficiency.

Skills & Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in investment analysis, M&A, transaction advisory, or due diligence within sectors such as natural capital, energy transition, or infrastructure.
• Background in Investment Management, Private Equity, or Asset Management preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial, legal, operational, and commercial due diligence processes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Progressing toward a professional financial certification, such as CFA, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for real asset management, sustainability, and impact investing.
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear insights.
• Capability to produce high-quality presentations and research reports within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong organiSational skills with high attention to detail, particularly under time-sensitive conditions.
