Invasive Species Technician

The Invasive Species Technician is responsible for promoting awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices on behalf of our clients. The role involves collecting data regularly to monitor, manage and report on the state of the invasive species in a defined area.

This is a seasonal position with work expected from early May to late September or early October.
Key Functions:
• Carry out vegetation inventories and control activities throughout BC and Alberta.
• Develop and implement effective management strategies for invasive species.
• Engage with the public to promote awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices.
• Collect and interpret data on vegetation populations and monitor control efficacy.
• Work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
• Operate ATV's and pick-up trucks on a daily basis on different road conditions.
• Travel may be required and may involve shift work of varying lengths.
• Maintain regular attendance at work and meetings.
• Safety compliance and adherence to company policies are crucial.
