Invasive Species Technician

beBee Careers is hiring an Invasive Species Technician in Fort St James, BC. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team as an Integrated Vegetation Management Technician.

This exciting opportunity involves working outdoors to inventory and control vegetation (native/invasive) throughout BC and Alberta, as well as promoting awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices to the public.

Main responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing effective management and control strategies for invasive species
• Collecting and analyzing data to monitor the effectiveness of control measures
• Maintaining accurate records and reports of field activities and findings
• Providing training and support to colleagues on vegetation management best practices
• Collaborating with stakeholders to promote awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices
