Job Description

beBee Careers is hiring an Invasive Species Technician in Fort St James, BC. The role involves outdoor work to manage native and invasive vegetation, develop control strategies, analyze data, maintain records, and provide training. The technician will also collaborate with stakeholders to raise awareness about invasive species. This is a full-time position and does not require a degree.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team as an Integrated Vegetation Management Technician.

This exciting opportunity involves working outdoors to inventory and control vegetation (native/invasive) throughout BC and Alberta, as well as promoting awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices to the public.

Main responsibilities include:
• Developing and implementing effective management and control strategies for invasive species
• Collecting and analyzing data to monitor the effectiveness of control measures
• Maintaining accurate records and reports of field activities and findings
• Providing training and support to colleagues on vegetation management best practices
• Collaborating with stakeholders to promote awareness of invasive species and integrated vegetation management practices
