Job Overview

Broomsedge Rod & Gun is located in Soperton, Georgia on generations-old family farms. With thousands of acres of land – including managed food plots for birds and deer, 40 beaver ponds, and 25 lakes – the farms provide a sporting paradise for hunting duck, quail, pheasant, turkey, deer, hogs, and predators. This is a unique opportunity for individuals looking for hands-on experience in land and wildlife management.

Position Description

Broomsedge Rod and Gun is seeking a professional, dependable, self-motivated individual with high moral character and the ability to work independently while effectively communicating with hunters and guests.

Responsibilities
• Game Bird and Southeastern Big Game Management: Includes habitat management, maintenance of deer and duck feeders, and upkeep of bird pens.
• Habitat Management: Tasks involve prescribed burning, pesticide application, timber management and potential opportunities for planting and maintaining food plots. Equipment experience is preferred but not required; there may be opportunities for tractor or skid steer operation.
• Maintenance and Operation of Five Stand: Responsibilities include customer check-in, safety training and instruction, stocking machinery, performing basic machine maintenance, and tracking for billing purposes.
• Grounds Maintenance: General labor tasks such as maintaining roads, signs, and waterways across Broomsedge properties.
• Guide Opportunities: Possibility to guide hunts, contingent on relevant experience.
• Other Responsibilities: Assist with kennel maintenance (feeding, sanitizing, monitoring), support guest relations and services at the Lodge (kitchen, bar, housekeeping), as well as at the Pro Shop (customer sales, inventory management, and general upkeep).

Qualifications
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
