The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is offering a part-time internship for college students or graduates interested in community outreach and environmental education. Interns will assist in the Water Discovery Field Trip Program, lead educational activities, and help with outreach events. About the position

The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is offering an internship opportunity for college graduates and students interested in community outreach and environmental education. The intern will assist in planning and facilitating the Agency's Water Discovery Field Trip Program, which educates the community about environmental resources. The role involves leading educational activities, developing outreach materials, and participating in various outreach initiatives. Responsibilities
• Assist with planning, implementing, and facilitating the Agency's Water Discovery Field Trip Program.

• Lead students through the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park while facilitating educational activities.

• Assist with community outreach events, including the Agency's Earth Day Event and tours of facilities.

• Help develop communication and education assets such as newsletters, graphics, and social media outreach.

• Perform administrative tasks and assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements
• Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.

• Current enrollment or graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Public Administration, Education, or a related field.

• A valid class 'C' California driver's license.

• Advanced computer skills.

Nice-to-haves
• Previous public affairs, communication, and/or writing experience is preferred.
