The Airlines/Aviation Company is hiring an Interim Senior Advisor for Climate Change Adaptation & Outreach in Yellowknife, NT, Canada. This one-year role involves leading strategies and projects for climate change adaptation, managing federal funding, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The Company is seeking a Senior Advisor for a 1-year term to lead and manage the development, implementation, and coordination of strategies, policies, programs, and projects that support climate change adaptation and outreach goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding climate change hazard mapping, research, and analysis, as well as disseminating relevant information to support the creation of adaptation actions. This role also involves the management and administration of federal funding that supports various departments' climate change adaptation actions, requiring close collaboration with federal colleagues and different departments. The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant discipline and at least four years of work experience, including two years in a management capacity, preferably in the areas of climate change adaptation, environmental outreach, or with Indigenous governments and organizations.

Applicants for the Senior Advisor position at the company should possess a strong knowledge of northern climate change adaptation and mitigation issues, effective public outreach strategies, and various climate change programs and approaches at the federal, provincial, and territorial levels. Experience in financial planning, budgeting, expenditure management, and project management is essential.
