Job Description
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking an Instructor for the Environmental Engineering Technology program in Saskatchewan, Canada. The role involves delivering instruction, managing classroom activities, evaluating student progress, and adjusting curriculum as needed. Candidates should have an engineering technology diploma or degree in Environmental Engineering, relevant experience, and strong communication skills. The position is full-time and requires participation in staff meetings and professional development.

Job Duties
Job Duties 1. Provide instruction in the environmental engineering technology program. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in environmental monitoring as well as a background in chemistry and ecology.
2. Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.
3. Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
4. Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress.
5. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
6. Accommodate students with special learning needs.
7. Attend staff, program and division meetings.
8. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
9. Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Work cooperatively in an interdependent “team” environment.
11. Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Sask Polytech and/or the Campus. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities

Skills and Abilities
(QSA) 1. Engineering technology diploma or engineering degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
2. Member of or eligible for certification with TPS as an P. Tech or with APEGS as a P.Eng.
3. Two years’ recent/relevant experience (two years’ in the last five) in the Environmental and/or Water Resources engineering field.
4. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
5. Effective interpersonal skills.
6. Effective instructional ability.
