Job Description
W3Global Inc. is hiring an Industrial Hygienist & Environmental Scientist for their Baltimore, MD office. The role involves conducting HAZMAT inspections, indoor air quality assessments, and writing technical reports. Candidates should have a degree in environmental science or industrial hygiene, with at least 1 year of experience preferred. Local travel is required, and candidates must be physically capable of using testing equipment. Full-time position with a salary of $45K–$75K.
Client is a Delaware based firm with offices located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Client is seeking an Industrial Hygienist / Environmental Scientist to join our MD office.
Successful candidates will provide asbestos, lead, exposure assessment, indoor air quality and other HAZMAT consulting services. Working either alone or as part of a team, you will conduct HAZMAT inspections and industrial hygiene surveys including indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, lead, PCBs inspections in support of remediation designs.
Responsibilities include the writing of technical reports, presenting a compilation of quantitative and qualitative data, comparison of findings to applicable standards and guidelines, as well as making client recommendations. Field work requires the ability to carry and utilize testing equipment, tools, the use of ladders and roof inspections.
Desired Qualifications:
· Associate or Bachelor degree, preferably in environmental science or industrial hygiene.
· 1 year experience required; 2-3 years of experience is preferred, but will train the right candidates.
· Asbestos Inspector Licenses - (Preferred)
· US EPA Lead Risk Assessor License (Preferred)
· Current 40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper training (Required)
· Local travel required throughout Tri-state area. Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
· Experience with building systems and/or construction a plus.
· Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
· Must be willing to work occasional off hours and weekends.
· Must be physically able to carry testing equipment, work on ladders and wear a respirator when necessary.
· Full training will be provided for the right candidates.
· Must possess excellent problem solving, communication and report preparation skills.
· Excellent client service skills are required.
Experience:
· Field Inspections: 1 year (Preferred)
· Environmental Sampling: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
· HAZWOPER (Preferred)
