Job Description
GREEN WORLD RENEWABLE ENERGY is seeking a Solar Business Development Manager in Maharashtra, India. Responsibilities include lead generation, client relationship management, technical consultation, and project coordination for solar projects. Candidates should have a B.Tech/B.E. in a relevant field and 1-5 years of solar sales experience. The role requires strong sales skills, technical knowledge, and willingness to travel. Salary ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 per month with benefits.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development:
• Identify and generate leads for solar projects (residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale).
• Develop relationships with clients, EPC contractors, and government agencies.
• Conduct site visits and feasibility assessments to determine solar energy potential.
• Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to customers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Technical Consultation:
• Provide clients with customized solar solutions based on their energy needs.
• Explain system designs, specifications, and installation processes.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and return-on-investment (ROI) calculations for clients.
• Stay updated with industry trends, policies, and new solar technologies.
Project Coordination:
• Work closely with design, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist in obtaining necessary approvals and documentation for projects.
• Support after-sales services, maintenance, and troubleshooting when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related field. MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
• Experience: 1-5 years of experience in solar sales, preferably in the Indian market.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of solar PV system design, net metering, subsidies, and regulatory policies in India.
• Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to close deals and build long-term client relationships.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, or other solar design tools is a plus.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in English and regional languages.
• Travel: Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and site visits.
