Hydro Operator, Apprentice

Imperial Irrigation District is seeking a Hydro Operator, Apprentice in Calexico, CA. The role involves operating electrical and mechanical equipment at hydroelectric plants under supervision. Primary Function

Under direct supervision, controls the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment including hydraulic machinery at one or more hydroelectric generating plants. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school equivalency with supplemental college or technical courses in electricity and mathematics, and one year experience in electrical or mechanical operations or repair preferred.

Licensing & Certification Requirements

A valid driver license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles or the Arizona Department of Transportation is required.
