Position Summary:

This full-time position will be responsible for facilitating various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Activity – Recruitment & Staffing: Time Allocation: ~ 30%

· Assist in developing job descriptions and posting job openings

· Screen resumes and coordinate the interview process

· Conduct reference checks and extend job offers

ACTIVITY – Onboarding & Training: Time Allocation: ~ 30%
• Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
• Organize and conduct orientation sessions for new employees
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs
• Support field staff through 3rd party Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)
• Act as primary liaison with RAP partner

ACTIVITY – Human Resource Operations: Time Allocation: ~ 20%
• Support payroll administration and benefits management
• Assist in performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback
• Prepare reports and metrics related to HR activities

ACTIVITY – Employee Relations: Time Allocation: ~ 10%
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
• Support the resolution of workplace conflicts and foster a positive work environment
• Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality

ACTIVITY – Compliance & Policy Administration: Time Allocation: ~ 10%
• Support payroll administration and benefits management
• Assist in performance management processes, including evaluations and feedback
• Prepare reports and metrics related to HR activities

Required Skills/Experience/Education/Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills; written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems

Physical Requirements
• Occasional travel, primarily local
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must be able to work in an office environment 50 days per week. This is an in-person position.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
