Impact Environmental Group is seeking an HR Business Partner for their Lake Mills, WI location. This role involves managing HR operations including employee relations, recruiting, training, and policy implementation for the IEG Service business unit. Candidates should have at least 5 years of HR experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information. The position requires travel and is a hybrid role, splitting time between Elgin, IL and Lake Mills, WI.

Position Summary

The HRBP – IEG Service will be responsible for leading day-to-day HR operations, focusing on employee relations, recruiting, retention, training, and coaching/counseling for the IEG Service business unit. This person will manage the HR function for the IEG Service business unit to include onboarding, offboarding, retention; training; succession planning; employee relations; benefits; diversity; compensation; leave management; occupational health, safety and security; strategic management; employee development; and other HR projects to support the business unit.

HRBP – IEG Service will assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures that align with company goals and objectives.

What You Will Need
• Must have previous HR experience that includes 5 years of related experience.
• Must have knowledge of the repair service business.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, HR Certification a plus
• Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
• Previous experience in processing payroll and employment-related taxes
• Strong financial acumen; including general ledger
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft, with strong spreadsheet, reporting, and data management skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and business acumen.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Strong work ethic to include being a hands-on business partner to drive the IEG Service team.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Paycor HRIS experience a plus. HRIS configuration/implantation experience required
• Travel required within the US, up to 30%
• Will need to split time between Elgin, IL & Lake Mills, WI office. Hybrid Role

Responsibilities

Human Resources (70%)
• Serve as a direct resource for the IEG Service team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on HR best practices, policies and procedures providing guidance on complex HR issues and ensuring consistent application of policies.
• Drive engagement with the IEG Service technicians.
• Support learning and development opportunities.
• Identify multiple avenues for attracting & retaining talent and ensuring thoughtful onboarding.
• Build trusted relationships within the organization that reflect the company's culture, vision, and values.
• Collaborate with the team to evaluate and prepare for future talent needs, managing internal transitions and promotions.
• Support the team in aligning people initiatives with the business vision and strategy, implementing change, and supporting business development.
• Assist with the performance management process, including setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and administering disciplinary actions.
• Support the service business unit by providing guidance to line management on employee relations, coaching, counseling, career development, succession and talent management, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain a visible HR presence in the workplace, engaging with employees to address concerns and provide real-time solutions.
• Maintain the HRIS, ensuring accurate data management and reporting. Utilize HRIS to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of merit, pay adjustments, bonus pay, long term incentives and other compensation related programs.
• Review internal and external market data to ensure compensation decisions are executed in a fair and equitable manner.
• Participate in the merger and acquisition process, supporting employee integration and ensuring a smooth transition.

Payroll (30%)
• Participate in and/or lead specific projects as assigned, supporting the Director of Human Resources with reports, metrics, and miscellaneous projects.
• Serves as a contact with HRIS for Service Provider and internal teams
• Review off cycle payroll entries such as: severances, bonuses, and final paychecks before final processing
• Ensuring company compliance with local, state and federal tax processing is conducted and accurate; investigates any tax inquiries
• Ensures accuracy in payroll submission by processing, reviewing and distributing post-payroll reports
• Work with the HR Coordinator to ensure accuracy in all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and payments.
• Identifies and assist in implementing payroll process improvements and best practices to increase efficiency and avoid payroll errors
• Create work instructions and develop training for new processes in the HRIS
• Participates in special projects with payroll, human resources, and finance as assigned – such as 1094 & 1095 forms, year-end W2’s, audits, filing, cross-training within the department and open enrollment, payroll onboarding, employee file maintenance, audits, and compensation strategy.
• Maintain confidential information and process data with the highest integrity and accuracy-must act discretely when working with highly confidential Human Resources information.
• Work closely with Finance team with month-end close and ensure General Ledger accuracy
• Work with Sales team to calculate commissions
• Routinely audit PTO balances to ensure accuracy
• Establish, and maintain, pay ranges for all roles utilizing a variety of sources
