Job Description

Peninsula Hot Springs is seeking a Horticulturalist/Gardener focused on conservation and landscaping in Fingal, VIC. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, planting, and supporting conservation efforts. Candidates should have experience in horticulture, a passion for ecological landscaping, and strong communication skills. Peninsula Hot Springs is a renowned spa and well-being destination nestled in the natural beauty of Fingal, on the Mornington Peninsula. Our site features a diverse landscape of lush lawns, productive kitchen gardens, tranquil open spaces, and protected bushland areas. We are committed to enhancing native habitats while creating serene, relaxing spaces for our guests.

We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Horticulturalists/Gardeners to join our dedicated Land and Environment team. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals with strong landscaping and conservation horticulture skills who are eager to work in a meaningful setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out comprehensive grounds and garden maintenance across bathing areas, The Food Bowl, and new accommodation zones
• Undertake planning, planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, mulching, irrigation, and harvesting
• Apply horticultural practices that support our conservation goals, including the care and propagation of locally indigenous plant species
• Contribute to the preservation of natural bushland and support habitat restoration initiatives
• Share your horticultural expertise with guests and staff through educational tours, workshops, and collaborative programs

About You:
• Background in horticulture, gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance
• Strong interest in ecological landscaping, native plant care, and/or food production
• Passionate about sustainable land management and environmental conservation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Valid manual drivers licence
