GHG Home Care is seeking an In Home Caregiver in Duncannon, PA, to provide compassionate care to clients in their homes. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health, and maintaining a safe environment. Ideal candidates should have experience in home or senior care, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift clients. This position offers full-time and part-time shifts, requiring in-person work.
Job Overview
As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with special needs.
Duties
• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Monitor patients’ health by observing and reporting changes in their condition to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans.
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with memory care needs or hospice care requirements as needed.
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members regarding client status.
Skills
• Experience in home community care or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of social work principles can enhance the caregiving experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
• Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus for providing end-of-life support.
• Strong patient care skills, including patient monitoring and assessment abilities.
• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Attention to detail in following care plans and maintaining accurate documentation.
