A developer and operator of high voltage transmission renewable energy systems is looking to grow its Operations Team with the addition of a High Voltage Technician focused on T&D Substation maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair. </span></span></span></span>

This is a business critical role that works directly with the company's Corporate Operations, EPC, Construction, and 3rd Party Contractors in order to drive high voltage field operation initiatives including maintenance and testing activities for high-voltage transmission substations. </b></span></span></span></span>The position requires experience supporting technical engineering initiatives for multiple greenfield and brownfield substation projects in aspects of facility maintenance, testing, and equipment repair. </span></span></span>

Responsibilities:</span></span></b></span>

• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech - performs high voltage substation equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, relays..etc) testing, repairs, switching, and construction activities</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech provides 24/7 on-call support to for renewable energy / wind farm substation operations</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech assist with initial operating activities including commissioning on renewable energy systems (Wind Farms and Solar Farms)</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech facilitates high voltage switching orders to be processed through switching procedures.</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech preventative maintenance on substations which includes reports on infrared inspections as well SF6 sampling results</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech carries out substation and transmission inspections within NERC guidelines</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech provides remote troubleshooting high voltage substation support to supervisor</span></span></span>
</li>
• HV Substation Technician / HV Electrical Tech supplies analytics and written reports to management</span></span></span>

Skills/Requirements:</span></span></b></span>

</div>
• 4+ years of electrical experience with high voltage substations (maintenance, testing, relay settings, and/or commissioning) </span></span></span>
</li>
• Working knowledge of high-voltage substation, relay protection, collection, and transmission systems</span></span></span>
</li>
• Troubleshooting and repair of Substation, Protective relay systems, and/or Renewable Energy Equipment</span></span></span>
</li>
• Hands-on testing of electrical protective relays (SEL), switchgears, transformers, and circuit breakers</span></span></span>
</li>
• Ability to read/interpret schematics and electrical diagrams</span></span></span>
</li>
• Working knowledge of electrical SCADA systems</span></span></span>
</li>
• Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and LOTO (lock-out-tag-out)</span></span></span>
</li>
• Experience in the following type of roles: High Voltage Tech, Substation Specialist, Electrical Substation Tech, Relay Technician, P&C Tech, Lead P&C Field Specialist, Protection & Controls Technician</span></span></span>
