About the Role:

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing safety policies, programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and implement safety programs by providing necessary resources and training to appropriate positions.
• Monitor safety performance for assigned departments/equipment.
• Participate in safety committee meetings to address open items and safety concerns.
• Conduct field/office safety audits and program evaluations.
• Plan and facilitate safety meetings.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans (assessing, writing, training, JSA/JHA).
• Provide training on hazards and safety procedures to staff members.
• Assist in developing and updating training programs.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA rules, regulations, and best practices.
• Verify incident and accident corrective actions.
• Maintain proper reporting procedures for internal requirements, regulatory bodies, and insurance programs.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes.
• Deliver required training for new hires and existing staff.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement EHS programs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Safety certification preferred (ASP, GSP, CHST).
• Strong technical knowledge of construction-related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Experience in diverse work environments.
• Experience implementing change management initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong communication skills with ability to generate professional written material and deliver effective verbal presentations.
