Ramsey County is hiring a Health Educator for a limited duration role in St Paul, MN. Overview: The Ramsey County Department of Public Health is seeking a Health Educator to join the Climate and Health Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, providing educational programming, and publishing the county's updated climate change vulnerability assessment. Responsibilities:
• Utilize the county's climate change vulnerability assessment to build and maintain relationships with community partners interested in developing resilience hubs
• Help partners connect to supportive resources and provide educational programming around resilience hubs to partners and community members they serve
• Publish the county's updated climate change vulnerability assessment and provide education on how to interpret and apply the results of the assessment to resilience-focused projects
• Develop, implement, and evaluate community educational programs related to a specialty area of public health
• Perform community health assessments and identify areas of need in community health services provision
• Establish criteria for evaluation of community health promotion programs and activities
• Prepare reports based on community health assessments and program evaluations for use in addressing community health goals and regarding disease-specific interventions
• Develop contacts and partnerships with community agencies and individuals, schools, health care professionals, and social service providers
• Participate as a member or chair of department task forces and committees for strategic planning, service delivery design, and other topics
• Prepare and assemble educational materials, including web resources, brochures, exhibits, posters, newsletters, slides, and other audio-visual materials
• Develop and conduct training sessions for county staff, public health organizations, schools, and volunteer personnel
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's Degree in health sciences, education, behavioral sciences, or a related field
• No experience required, but equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Certification/Licensure: None
